About Threatens.org

Threatens.org designed its own custom proxy software, TOProxy, to be more efficient, secure, and accurate than existing web proxy systems. Threatens.org does not utilize intrusive methods of generating profits, such as obstructive ad injection, popups, popunders, or weighty address toolbars. Keep yourself secure while still maintaining the usability you have come to expect from the web.

Among more common features, Threatens.org incorporates the following:

• SSL access via https://threatens.org/. Browse the web with a level of security most other proxies require paid subscriptions for. Also, bypass firewalls that might otherwise block Threatens.org.
• Constantly changing domain names. Threatens.org has many aliases. If one alias gets blocked, try another. A complete list can be found on the “Aliases” page.
• Improved URL proxification. Unlike many other proxy backends, TOProxy replaces even the hard-to-find URLs. Everything from CSS to simple web links gets scanned.
• Constantly expanding feature-base. We decline to use widely available proxy backends. Instead, we built our own proxy software, known as TOProxy (Threatens.Org Proxy), in order to maintain full control over development. Unlike most other proxy sites, Threatens.org does not wait for someone else to program features; it is actively collecting usage data and expanding based on what you want.
• Fewer false positives. Threatens.org properly processes frames and mailto links, unlike most PHProxy-based sites.
• Dependability. We strive to keep our server up and running at all times. Rather than using cheap, shared hosting, we maintain our own private server.
• Anonymity and privacy. Just how anonymous you are to the sites you visit is up to you. However, under normal circumstances your IP address will not be released to any target sites. The more web features you disable (scripts, images, Flash, etc.), the more secure and anonymous your browsing experience will be. We do not intercept information such as passwords or credit card numbers. We do log some anonymous information, such as what site referred you to Threatens.org, to help determine how we should market Threatens.org and what features are popular.
• Speed. Unlike most proxy systems, TOProxy does not use a scripted HTTP processor. Instead, TOProxy utilizes a compiled binary to increase performance. We also have a 100 Mbps internet connection, which you have virtually unlimited use of.
• Clutter-free interface. There is no need to worry about advertisements or weighty address bars getting in the way of the web pages you visit.
