Threatens.org: Free Web Proxy

Is Threatens.org blocked?

In the words of Douglas Adams, don’t panic. You have two available options. The first is to use our SSL (encrypted) proxy, accessible via https://threatens.org/—note “s” in https://. Most firewalls are unable to censor SSL-encrypted traffic, thus your proxy visit will go undetected. In addition, any data you send or receive will be immune to interception during the travel between your computer and Threatens.org.

The second option is to join our Google Group. This will give you access to a special list of aliases for Threatens.org which change on a daily basis. Since the entries are ambiguous and constantly changing, most firewalls will be unaware of the fact that you are visiting a proxy. You can view the daily list simply by visiting the group, or you can register as a member to receive new lists via e-mail each day.

Still blocked?

Your school or company’s firewall has probably blocked our IP address. If that is the case, using SSL or an aliased subdomain won’t solve the problem. These are relatively rare circumstances, and probably mean that your IT admin is ticked off at you. Here are your options:

  • Bribe your IT admin with donuts. You can’t go wrong with donuts.
  • E-mail our webmaster at webmaster@threatens.org. We’ll gladly arrange a workaround customized just for you. Yes, we really do love you that much.
